What is your question?
Atop the transmission I see a pool of red fluid (transmission fluid) I'm wondering if its the little black seal I can see, it's roughly close to an inch in length and diameter is 1/2 inch or less, a tiny little guy all by itself not seemingly connected to anything, almost looks like a rubber plug or something, but I can see it's off of a steel tube from the topside of transmission and this is where I find transmission fluid pooling on top of transmission, can I push it down to hopefully repeat to reseal, I can't imagine it being anything else atop of the transmission as this is the wettest area with transmission fluid, but even driving only 7-14 miles I loose 2+ quarts of transmission fluid on the drive.
What makes this problem better or worse?
Worse when traveling faster or at higher rpm, when it's hot and transmission fluid becomes viscous
How long has your 2009 Kia Rio5 had this problem?
