Hello, I’m Pete from the Car Genius team at RepairPal. I’m sorry you’re dealing with this concern on your Kia Forte. Based on the information provided with the rubber burning smell combined with the oil, check engine, and battery light concerns in many cases this can be caused by your engine drive belt falling apart or breaking to where it is no longer operating the drive belt pulleys and components. This in turn can cause these warning lights to come on as well as various running or operational concerns. I recommend having the engine drive belt as well as related pulleys and components checked into to see if the issue can be pinpointed. It is also a good idea to have the engine fully checked over for any other possible causes or failures of any kind. This should be performed before your vehicle is operated again to prevent further damage or any other related concerns and this is something that is usually best to have checked by a reputable repair facility where they would have the correct tools to diagnose and resolve this concern.
