2012 kia forte koup 2.4l will not turn over

Hello, The battery may not be connected properly, or there may be corrosion between the battery posts and terminals. Also, the battery may not be charging correctly. I advise jumping the battery, taking it for a starting and charging system test, and completing the recommended repair. I don't think the starter is bad, simply because it was able to start later that day. Also, sitting in the sun warms the battery, so it can deliver higher current than cold.
