What is your question?
I have a 2011 Kia forte koup if it sits all night or day it will start up normally but if I start my car and run in a store for 5 minutes when I come back out to start the car it will start for about 5 seconds and then my check engine and battery light will come on and it takes me about 5 times to restart it before it finally comes on and starts normally
What makes this problem better or worse?
Worse if engine is only off 5-10 minutes
How long has your 2011 Kia Forte Koup had this problem?
5 months

Hi this is Dusty, I'm one of the auto experts on RepairPal's Car Genius team. From what you've described you may have fuel injectors leaking, leaving excess fuel in the combustion chambers of the engine and creating a difficult environment to ignite during start-up. The check engine light is likely directly related to the issue, as is the battery light due to the extended cranking required to start the vehicle.
