What is your question?
The other day my Jeep would turn off no matter what I tried. Drove it to dealership. They were baffled. They tried a few things to no avail. Finally, one mechanic disconnected the battery for about 10 seconds, then reconnected. They really couldn’t figure out what caused the problem, but it happened since. Any advice?

Hey there. I'm Dusty, an auto expert on RepairPal's Car Genius team. Modern vehicles heavily rely on sophisticated electronic systems, which may sometimes experience glitches, resulting in unexpected behaviors. Your Renegade's issue could be caused by a temporary glitch, a software bug, a communication issue between computer modules, or a more persistent underlying problem. And given that disconnecting the battery seemed to temporarily resolve the issue, I believe this is the case. Have the dealership or a reputable professional conduct a comprehensive diagnostic scan to check for stored or pending trouble codes and any available software updates for your vehicle. It is crucial to update your vehicle's software, as manufacturers often issue updates to fix known problems and enhance system stability. Given the complexity of modern vehicle electronics, ensuring that your Jeep Renegade has the latest software updates is critical in preventing and resolving unexpected issues.
