Looking to purchase from a dealer, a 2016 Renegade Latitude with 110,000 miles. When is the timing belt due for replacement?

Hi, this is Bo, an auto expert on RepairPal's Car Genius team! The 2016 Jeep Renegade uses a timing *chain*, not a belt, which is good news for you. Chains are generally designed to last the life of the engine—at least 150,000 miles or more—so you shouldn't have to worry about replacing it unless it's showing signs of wear or making noise. That said, with 110,000 miles on the odometer, it’s still smart to get a mechanic to check it out along with the rest of the engine. Regular oil changes are key to keeping that chain in top shape, so be sure to check the service history on those, too.
