What is your question?
Been hearing a noise, especially at higher speeds. Took it in to get checked out. I was told I have tire cupping in the front tires. I was told it was due to having higher tread tires on my jeep grand cherokee. I was told there was nothing they could do. So what caused the cupping tires? I've had these tires for years. Is there anything to do for cupping tires, besides replace them? I've always had them rotated when recommended.

Gets worse with speed

Hi, this is Bo, an auto expert on RepairPal's Car Genius team! Tire cupping, also known as scalloping, can be caused by various factors including improper tire inflation, misalignment, and worn suspension components. Once cupping occurs, it's challenging to reverse, and typically the only solution is to replace the tires. To prevent it in the future, ensure proper tire inflation, regular tire rotations, and have your vehicle's suspension and alignment checked regularly by a qualified mechanic.
