Ticking/knocking noise under hood. 2018 Grand Cherokee 44,000 miles.

Hi my jeep started with a slight knocking noise a week ago but has become much louder. Also rpms jump up and down when idling. Started to notice a whistle sound while accelerating too. Only has 44,000 miles. I get scheduled oil changes. I bought the jeep with 25,000 miles. Driver before me leased the jeep. So I haven't had it that long. Some guy in auto Zone parking lot told me it sounds like my knockers (whatever that is?!) Haha any idea what this could be. The sound is coming from the belt area. I want to have some knowledge before bringing it to a mechanic. Thank you in advance
