Hood switch jumper bypass for command start

What is your question?

My command start displays hood open for command start. I tried jumping out the 2 wire plug but same thing. I tried leaving it open and the same. Do I need to do a reset of some kind? The hood switch at the latch is broken now by accident, by me trying to remove it to test for continuity.
