Why is my Jeep making knocking noises after changing the water pump and belt?

After changing my water pump and serpentine belt in my 07 Jeep Grand Cherokee I'm still having problems with starting it and once I do get it started it's making loud knocking noise and it seems to be misfiring not sure what it could be

What makes this problem better or worse?
