Have s 2006 grand Cherokee overland with 86000 miles had the transmission replaced with a used one in April 2020 thru the warranty company now the transmission over temp light comes on took it back and the warranty company replace it with another used one same thing happened again took it back now on the the third transmission just picked up 08/18/2020 drove about twenty miles and guess what trans over temp came on I did ask the machanic if there was anything else that would cause this he said possibly but the warranty company will only authorize a replacement transmission Never had a problem with the original transmission temp light any help would be greatfull thank john
What makes this problem better or worse?
No problems just regular driveling

It would seem quite peculiar to me that your transmission temperature sensor on multiple transmission would indicate an over-temperature situation. Especially when the temperature sensor is located beyond the valve body of each transmission. I would suspect a wiring concern that requires troubleshooting, and one that may have been aggravated by multiple removals and installations. Seek guidance by the techs doing the work -- they should check the wiring.
