What is your question?
In regards to the p0218, transmission over temp, almost every time I shift from park to drive it has a really hard time going into 1st. It often gets stuck in 2nd or 3rd and is really underpowered. The dash tells me service 4wd system but I haven't seen a problem code related to that. Initially that was the only code presented. The next scan brought up 3 of the U codes. Then a third scan brought up the remaining codes. I know there is something screwed up with the electrical because in order to use any other fan speed than the highest setting you have to slam the glovebox for the other settings to work (found that out by accident). We just replaced the transmission oil cooler which initially made the shifting much smoother but ultimately went over temp again. The drive after it went over temp was back to crappy shifting. Fluid is good. It was just changed recently.

Hi this is Dusty, I'm one of the auto experts on RepairPal's Car Genius team! Wow, that's quite the laundry list of codes! It sounds like there could be some serious electrical gremlins at play here, with all of the communication issues (including the U140E) and they're very likely to be related to one another. It could be an issue of a poor ground, corrosion in the contacts, or a broken wire, a module issue, the list goes on. The one oddity out of the bunch is the P0218 for Transmission Over Temperature Condition, which may be a result of the harsh shifting and not the cause. The harsh shifting could be a fluid pressure issue, a failing torque converter, the torque converter clutch solenoid failing to activate/deactivate when commanded. Given the complexity of the situation, it might be best to have a professional technician with experience in advanced electrical diagnostics, or possibly a Jeep specialist, take a look.
