Check engine is on. Periodically it will go off but comes back on. I really don't want another mechanic telling me it's the catalytic converter, I spend over $700 and the light always comes back on (this has happened with all other previous cars I've owned). Would there be another reason why the light is on? I do plan to take it to autozone for a diagnostic code but do not have the code right now. Thank you for you time, Diahann

Frist try a little tune up - fill up with 93 Octane Fuel and add 2 bottles of Lucas fuel treatment to that tank of fuel - check and see if your 4.0 is a "H.O." (High Output) if it is you need to run 93 Octane in it as it is a high compression motor and requires Higher Octane.
