What is your question?
I have heard that changing the fluids and the fluid filter will fix this problem, but someone else said to change the pickup tube. Will this work? How much will it cost? Im a college student with a budget and I also need my car to get to work and back from campus.

First of all there is NO pick-up tube in this transmission. You either have a filter that screws to the outside of the tranny , like an engine filter, or with the inside filter it is a flat filter that has a short metal collar on the bottom of the filter that sits in the fluid. SEE HERE: https://www.flickr.com/photos/127907981@N06/15580289205/in/photostream/ . HOW ABOUT LEAKS? Have you noticed any fluid under the vehicle? Have you checked the fluid level? Ever notice while driving with a cup of liquid in the car , as you turn a corner , all the liquid goes to one side of the cup? Same thing with oil in an engine & transmission, and if you don't have enough then the pump will suck up air instead of fluid. Engines will light up the oil light. They should have a low fluid indicator on transmissions, to prevent slipping. Cuz slipping is what kills the clutch packs, quick. Check the level. See if it's low . If not, then change the filter & fluid quick. That's all you can do outside a tranny.
I have noticed some leaks but when I checked the fluids myself, they were not low. It was hot and in neutral when I checked, so it should be accurate but who knows. I am going to get someone to replace the fluids and the filter sometime this week. Hopefully that will solve the problem!
