Is it "normal" to have to replace the oil sensor frequently? I've had it replaced 4 times in the past 5 years. Could it be a faulty part?

I find that Jeep oil pressure senders fail a lot, I used to work in a Jeep shop and they went out at about once a year, so far I see no recalls or bulletins from Jeep to help the consumer. Maybe that is why the Jeep went 'belly-up'?
