transmission problem

Auto or manual trans? If the automatic transmission shift lever does not move and it comes out of gear, it may be an internal transmission problem or, on some Jeeps, a bad Throttle Position Sensor will make it feel like the Jeep comes out of gear when it acts up. I used to work in a Jeep shop and this happened at times.
