It ran good till it came out of the smog shop some of my friends tell's me that the man that solid it to me payed someone to make it pass smog it a1976 sportsman Dodge motorhome
What makes this problem better or worse?
When it's an idle it sounds very good but when you drive it that gets really bad
How long has your 2001 Jeep Grand Cherokee had this problem?
Since I bought the vehicle about a month ago

Hello, That sounds like a clogged catalytic converter. You can test this by connecting a vacuum gauge to one of the ports on the intake manifold and raising the engine speed to 2000rpm-2500rpm. It is very important that the engine speed stay constant. You then will watch the vacuum gauge to see if vacuum steadily decreases while at constant engine speed. If it decreases steadily, clogged exhaust. You may also have low fuel pressure, and this should be tested with a fuel pressure gauge.
