When you start jeep, not registering gas, starts then runs 2 seconds quits. 2 gas guages showing empty but has gas. Had to replace car battery.
What makes this problem better or worse?

The battery and the fuel gauge issue are two different concerns. If your sending unit to the gauge is faulty, it is possible that the pump itself is not working as it should, which could result in a start / stall situation. You could also have an electrical supply issue to the fuel pump and sending unit, so testing in the electrical circuit is really necessary. The engine's battery probably failed due to trying to start the vehicle over and over. That's a guess.
