Your grand cherokee has a timing chain, the labor is 3.7 hours and the timing chain is about $45 but I would install the complete timing chain kit while the engine is apart $134 to $198 for the complete kit.
First of all what happened? I assume the car quit. I suggest if you have codes for the car being out of time it most likely is the crankshaft position sensor not the chain. I have been in the jeep dealer for a long time and never ever seen a timing chain break on a jeep. I have seen the shaft on the distributor break as it runs off the cam shaft. I would have it checked out at a reputable jeep dealer as the guys there know what to look for in a no start. I doubt you have a bad chain and no it doesn't have a timing belt.
