Put in new tstat but 2000 Jeep Grand Cherokee still overheats. The visible fan is still running ok when jeep is started. One side seems to be cool and the other side still heats up. This with and without the heater on. Shows that it heat up to 209.
What makes this problem better or worse?

How long has your 2000 Jeep Grand Cherokee had this problem?
2 weeks but haven't driven anywhere except to additionally test it after new tstat

Why do you think 209 degrees is overheating? It's likely within acceptable range, depending on conditions. Have you purged the air out of the cooling system following thermostat replacement?
