Ok i had the starter replaced on july 2009, now about a month when i turn the car is starting to take time to turn on, it takes about 10-15 seconds to turn on. when the starter was replaced the mechanic gave me a one year guarantee plus he told me it was a new one. ppl are teling me if it was new it should not be doing that and they said that he probably got another starter and just fixed and put it in my car. i took it back to the same mechanic and now he tells me is nothing wrong and that when i turn the ignition to give it a little gas. but i think that is not good to do.

your motor is either fuel injected or fuel injected assisted, therefor does not require giving it fuel to start.it may be a problem with the fuel delivery system.
