What is your question?
Question. I have what sounds like a liter tick coming from cylinder 2 on the Jeep. When I remove either the plug wire or fuel injector harness to cylinder 2, the ticking stops. What do you think that might be? I tried swapping wires still have ticking.
How long has your 1996 Jeep Grand Cherokee had this problem?
A couple weeks

Hi! This is Bo with Car Genius at RepairPal! This is a good one! The ticking suggests that the issue might be related to that cylinder's combustion. It could indicate a problem with the fuel injector, spark plug, or valve train. Since swapping wires didn't solve the issue, focus on the fuel injector or spark plug for cylinder 2. Consider replacing them or having a mechanic perform further diagnosis to pinpoint the exact cause of the ticking noise. If you have any other questions feel free to call us at 877-913-1554!
