What is your question?
I need to replace an idler pulley on my 95 Grand Cherokee 4.0 liter 6 cylinder. I am having trouble removing it. The bolt just turns freely and will not come out. Is there a way to get it out so that the pulley can come off?

Hi, my name is Devin. I am an auto repair expert with the Car Genius team here at RepairPal. I'm sorry to hear you're having trouble with your Grand Cherokee. If the idler pulley bolt is just spinning freely, it's possible that the threads holding it in place are stripped. You could try gently applying outward pressure on the pulley while turning the bolt. Sometimes, using a flathead screwdriver or a pry bar to pull on the pulley gently can help engage the threads enough to remove the bolt. If that doesn't work, it may be time to consult a trusted repair shop to help extract it.
