Hello, That is likely not the same issue, in fact, the radio is probably trying to chomp down a CD until the motor failed. Give it a CD you don't like and see what it does. The restricted performance mode could be anything... even a coolant leak. For that issue, you will need to scan for trouble codes to see what the engine control module says is so bad.
