Windshied wiper works when using the windshield washer but, will not work on Aut

What is your question?

Someone suggested swapping the two relays behind drivers side headlight, tried it but nothing changed. The manual (pull) single wipe works. None of the other switch positions do anything.

What makes this problem better or worse?

Nothing that I have tried.

How long has your 2000 Jaguar Vanden Plas had this problem?

Bought the car last year, last month I had the motor and transmission (both used but, upgraded and gone through) replaced, first rain storm, found out that the wiper doesn't work correctely.
