Why did my 2017 f pace stall with only battery light displaying?

My 2017 f pace stalled on the freeway in stop and go traffic. There was a buzz and then the battery light displayed and the engine killed but all the interior was still let. Seconds later the steering locked up and the car completely stalled. It immediately turned back on and the dealership said there was nothing wrong. It didn't even show it stalled.
