Why does my navigation system and radio keeps going in and out while I'm driving

My navigation system goes in and out especially when my car gets hot. After it sits awhile need navigation system the radio the air conditioning heating everything will come back on I believe I have a short and the computer system

What makes this problem better or worse?

It seems to be worse when the engine is hot
