Why does the rear hatch lock , but not unlock?

I can manually release the rear door, but once I go into reverse or lock the doors, it will not unlock. The remote nor the unlock button in the car work to unlock it.

How long has your 2019 Hyundai Santa Fe had this problem?

Happened randomly several months ago, now for the past 2 days.
