Car burns oil at a rate of about 1qt per 600 miles city driving, this increases with extended highway driving to a boy 1qt per 500 miles. There are no visible leaks. We have replaced the pcv valve. There is also no smoke coming from exhaust and it passes emissions.
What makes this problem better or worse?
Highway driving

If there are definitely no leaks then you could have a blow by situation where the piston rings are not sealing properly. I would suspect PCV also but you said that has been looked at. Double check for leaks, pull a plug to see if it's black and oily and perform a compression and leak down test. Alex
