My 2011 Santa Fe owner's manual states that I should change the oil and filter at 7500 miles. Am I reading that correctly? I thought it was supposed to be changed every 3000-5000 miles.

No matter what they say I would change the oil more frequently. Even synthetic oil I would change at 5,000 miles, if it calls for conventional oil I would change the oil at 3000 miles.
I concur with Patrick. Go 5,000 miles. That is our recommended interval at my Hyundai dealership. Keep in mind that Hyundai still lists a "severe" schedule interval at 3,750 miles.
Same recommendation here as the others: regular oil change every 3000 miles, synthetic oil change every 5000 miles. thanks! Cliff & Teri
