What is your question?
I have a 2010 Hyundai Sante Fe (3.5) that started acting odd last week. It occurred (though perhaps not related) after I scrapped the bottom of back passenger side on a curb turning left. In short, I started to get misfires and lose power. On Saturday I went to start it and noticed a strong gas smell and exhaust coming from under the car (not only the exhaust pipe). I turned it off and when I went to turn it on again later it did not turn over. The codes I get are: P0300 - Random/Multiple Misfire P0017 - Crankshaft Position Correlation Bank 1 Sensor B P0301 - Cylinder 1 misfire detected P0303 - Cylinder 3 misfire detected P0305 - Cylinder 5 misfire detected Before we start throwing parts at it, was hoping someone might have some insight. My regular mechanic is a bit perplexed.
How long has your 2010 Hyundai Santa Fe had this problem?
1 week

First, did you check for physical damage -- possibly to the fuel tank, evaporative emissions system and fuel lines? It's not necessarily related to your concerns, but the fuel odor is definitely concerning. I'd say you have a correlation with all 3 cylinders on bank one having a problem, as well as the P0017 for bank 1. A possible cause some have reported is that the crankshaft position sensor may be loose, causing a misalignment issue. Beyond checking that, you'll need a Hyundai GDS diagnostic tool or equivalent to check out the system and circuits related to the concern.
