Hi, assuming that you have the 2.7L the crankshaft pulse sensor can be found in the front facing cylinder block just above the starter location. It is held in with a single 6mm hexagon capped screw that needs a 1/4" drive 10mm A/F socket with a ratchet to remove. The sensor is connected to the main wiring harness via a 3 pin plug/socket clipped to the top right hand side of the block. The most common fault seems to be the small unprotected flexible cable connecting the sensor to the plug, it gets "fried" by the engine generated heat over time and the insulation surrounding the three copper cores breaks apart exposing the copper conductors, they touch "short circuit" and engine stall/fails to start generating the P0335 error code ~ "Crankshaft Position Sensor A Circuit". In the US unlike the UK where I live, the OEM sensors and reputable aftermarket ones are cheap and readily available. It is not a difficult "Do It Yourself" job, more dexterity than grunt, I am sixty eight and managed to do it lying on my back in the driveway in mid-November, the thing that kept me going was the thought of the extra large bill I would get if I took it to my local Hyundai dealer. Anyway my Santy now runs with an aftermarket sensor purchased via eBay.com in the US and sent direct to UK from China for under ten dollars post free, beat that Hyundai? Now the new sensor may not last too long, but at least I was able to locate the fault and fix it myself and if I get any problems in the future with P0335 I know what to do???
