Location of crankshaft positioning sensor in a 04 Santa Fe 3.5 liter v6

Hello, are you getting a P0340 code for the sensor? This code does not mean the sensor has failed. It means the engine may have stalled unexpectedly and the crankshaft signal was lost as a result of the stall. The crankshaft position sensor almost never fails. I'd strongly suggest performing needed testing for your engine performance to find out what's happening causing the problem, not focusing on a code (this is my assumption) that really means nothing to your concern. This sensor appears to be behind the timing cover.
