What is your question?
It started doing this a few months ago, If i leave it running the rmps will drop and sometimes it will shut off, it'll take a good five times to get it to start again, after that it runs fine has no problems; second question my heater control the high low etc keeps going bad, I've replaced it 3 times now, does anyone know what can fix these problems?

These are both problems I've experienced with my 2001 Hyundai Santa Fe, both of which I've been able to fix by myself, avoiding the huge cost and time wasted taking it to a dealer. The first problem you mention about you're engine not wanting to start after getting gas, that means you have a bad "purge valve", which I learned by doing a tiny bit of research in the internet. My nearby NAPA store had one in stock for $43, I found where the valve was in my car, and I stuck in a new one., No more problem! It's a little hard to get to, but the internet clued me in pretty fast. The other problem - the one with your heater fan switch going bad often, again, I found help in the interne. After spending $40 for a dumb rotary switch the first time this happened, I figured it couldn't hurt to try taking the switch totally apart the 2nd & 3rd times it happened and try fixing it myself. The contact points of the switch get dirty, and that's all it takes for the switch to stop working right. Once you clean them, it's good as new. Details about how to take your dash/console apart can be found on the internet. The only no-so-obvious part of removing the switch is this: the center 'button' of the fan control knob can be pried out with a small screwdriver to be able to remove the entire rotary switch.
