Hello, I’m Pete from the Car Genius team at RepairPal. I’m sorry you’re dealing with this concern with your 2022 Hyundai Kona. In some cases this can occur if the battery(ies) are weak inside the key fob itself to where the signal isn't being picked up right away when you push the start button. In other cases this can be an indication of the key fob itself starting to fail internally electronically. What I recommend is having the key fob battery(ies) tested to see if any of them are weak and need replacing. They will usually measure around 3 volts or more when good, anything less then 3 volts can indicate that the affected battery inside the fob itself will need to be replaced. In many cases your local dealer or a local parts store can remove and test these free of charge for you or at a small cost. If the battery(ies) are found to be o.k. and if the issue continues to occur I would then recommend having the key fob itself tested to see if it needs to be replaced and the vehicle checked over to make sure no other electrical concerns are occurring that may be causing this issue.
