What is your question?
I have a 2015 Hyundai Genesis sedan 3.8 rwd The rack and pinion was replaced/rebuilt with a used one. Now is very hard to turn the steering wheel when going at low speed. And when going at high school like 70 miles an hour the car shakes. I just read that I should have it realigned and reprogrammed. Since it is the electric rack and pinion should be “flashed” or programmed. Will this solve the problem? What else could possibly cause it to be steering so hard. It was not this bad before replacing the rack and pinion
What makes this problem better or worse?
Very hard to turn when going at slow speed
How long has your 2015 Hyundai Genesis had this problem?
I replaced the rack and pinion and this started

Hi, this is Bo, an auto expert on RepairPal's Car Genius team! It sounds like your Genesis is struggling to adjust to the new rack and pinion. You're right; an alignment and reprogramming of the electric power steering system are essential steps. The electric rack and pinion need to be flashed to ensure they communicate properly with the car's systems. This should smooth out your low-speed steering issues. As for the high-speed shaking, it's likely an alignment issue or perhaps even a wheel balance problem. Make sure the shop double-checks everything after the alignment and programming.
