i get power lights but nothing when trying to turn over.

Hello, sounds like an intermittent loss of electrical power from either a cable that has corrosion or is loose, a starter that has an intermittent issue, a battery even that intermittently doesn't provide power. Keep working to test it, especially when it fails.
