Car won't accelerate when pressing gas but there's no light coming on.

My wife and I are experiencing a problem with our Hyundai elantra GT 2019. It has been giving us trouble accelerating and there are no check engine lights or codes coming on. My brother in law says it might be the fuel pump but I would like to know if there could be any other solutions to try.
