What is your question?
This is a new to me car that I purchased 6 months ago. Since I have had the car its had a few nagging issues the pigtail that plugs into the blower motor was melted and stopped working. I replaced that then a couple months later my locks started behaving oddly. So the symptoms are: when you open the passenger door it unlocks all doors 3 times. When you shut the passenger door, unlocks 3 times. The liftgate has a button you press on the outside of the car to release the latch. Up until the previous issue, it would open when the doors were unlocked. But now it will only open if you hold down the trunk button on the keyfob or hold the unlock button from inside the car while someone else opens the door. I have checked the following fuses and none of them are blown but I have not tested them with a multi meter. T/GATE OPEN, memory module, DR LOCK Any help would be nice I would rather not take it to the shop if its potentially something simple I can fix on my own.
What makes this problem better or worse?

Hi, this is Bo, an auto expert on RepairPal's Car Genius team! It sounds like your Elantra GT has some quirky electrical issues with the locks and liftgate. Since the pigtail to the blower motor was melted, some electrical damage might be affecting the lock system. Here’s what you can try: -Check for any visible wiring damage, especially around the passenger door and trunk. -Inspect the door lock actuators for signs of failure. -Test the fuses with a multimeter, as they might have hairline cracks affecting performance. -Disconnect the car battery for 10-15 minutes to reset the electronic systems. If these steps don’t resolve the issue, getting a professional diagnosis might be worth it.
