I have a serious engine knock in my 2013 Elantra GT. I have heard that some dealerships will replace the motor but my dealer refuses to help.

There is a loud tapping and when you listen carefully, it sounds like a heavier knock in the base of the engine. It lacks acceleration and I'm afraid it will stop running at some point, as I've heard this can happen. I have $185K km on it. I live in Ottawa, Canada. thanks
