What is your question?
I have a 1986 Honda CRX Si with 250,000 miles. It makes a high pitched squealing noise when I drive and I cannot figure out where the noise is coming from. The noise only appears when the car is moving faster than about 10 mph and get progressively louder the faster I drive. The noise disappears when I come to a full stop and begins again once the car starts moving. I cannot replicate the noise when the car is sitting still which makes me believe belts likely aren't the culprit. I can rev the engine freely when the car isn't moving, and no noise will appear. The noise also intermittently comes and goes while I drive, and is noticeably worse when the weather is cold or when it is raining. I would describe the noise as a chirping bird. I would greatly appreciate any assistance with this issue as this noise is quite annoying.

Hello, agree that it's not likely belt driven. Does this vehicle have a manual transmission? If so, it's quite possible you have a "chirp" noise from the throwout bearing of the clutch / pressure plate. Makes a lot of sense, although of course can't be sure without hands on diagnostic testing. If you have an automatic transmission - it could still be transmission related, but becomes a lot more difficult to figure. Hands / ears on testing is needed. www.repairpal.com/repair-shops
