What is your question?
Honda Dealer told me a few years ago that my Crosstour was misfiring because there was a known issue with the engine. They suggested having the whole engine redone (whatever that means). Are you familiar with this? Since they redid the engine my car makes a tingling sound every time is downshifting gears. I took the car several times in a course of 2 years to the same dealer but they were never able to hear the noise.
What makes this problem better or worse?
It gets worse when car is downshifting gears.
How long has your 2010 Honda Accord Crosstour had this problem?
over 5 years

It's going to be hard to guess at the issue. Noises are hard to diagnose over the internet. I suggest getting a second opinion. Use this link to find a good shop near you. https://repairpal.com/repair-shops Alex
Unfortunately, you got ripped off. Mine had check engine light on but drove completely fine. I took it to three different shops and they all said the engine needed to be replaced. I didn't want to spend that money to repair it. I went to one more mechanic who was honest. He said all those other shops were just trying to rip me off. It was a simple fix and not expensive at all. I forgot exactly what he did, but if you need to know, respond and ill call him. I still have my Honda too and theres only 160,000 miles on it.
