What is your question?
Need to know if I’m likely to put undue strain on my Yukon xl by towing a 4000lbs dry weight travel trailer, it has just passed 100,000 miles? Also should I have stabiliser bars and weight distribution bars fitted to trailer or is self levelling system enough to stay safe ?
What makes this problem better or worse?
New to towing long travel trailers, can’t tell if Yukon is being strained Or not
How long has your 2012 GMC Yukon XL 1500 had this problem?
Have trailer about month

This vehicle has a towing capacity of 8,000 pounds. As a result, your travel trailer should be well within a reasonable limit to tow. Even with 100,000 miles, it's ok - as long as the vehicle is maintained and working as designed. This includes especially ensuring the transmission is serviced regularly, as the transmission will take on the bulk of the stress from the extra load. You can add things you feel like you need, but the vehicle from the factory -- as new -- was rated to handle your load. You may want to inspect the suspension closely and repair or replace any suspect parts.
