I put it in 2-high and was spinning around in the snowy parking lot when the power steering went out. It hasn't come back. it's not the fluid -- the fluid is full.

the pump is bad and you will need to replace your pump. You most likely cranked on it to hard for so long that it burnt up. I have seen this happen a lot back in the mid west.
Thunder Auto Repair, I think you hit it on the head. The steering has always been stiff in my 99 GMC, until tonight, when I got it stuck in the snow. Of course, the rpm's were way up there, and things got hot!!!!!!!!!!! Obviously, it was the ps pump making some of the noise, because after 20 min. of trying to get out, it was hell to turn. where are you located?????????frank 440-210-8100
