i need to know which motor is in my 2006 duramax diesel truck. iknow i can tell by the vin but i dont have the owners manual as i got it used

look at the 8th digit on your vin tag.2=6.6l turbo diesel.d=6.6l turbo diesel ho.g=8.1l sfi.u=6.0l sfi.
