voltage meter in truck shows over 12 volts of charge on battery but it just clicks, tried the remote start from gmc app on phone still only clicks, lights, heater,and all the rest work fine gauges all come on looks all normal and still only clicks tried putting on booster cables for a few minutes and finally started, this has happen once before about 35 days ago and since worked fine no problems and yesterday drove to town stopped was out for about 2 hrs came out and would not start just clicked, notice on voltage guage that it dropped to about 9 volts after the boost guage read 14.2 volts and has worked fine since
What makes this problem better or worse?

Hello, this sounds like a concern that is stemming from a battery that is not able to be fully charged or have enough capacity to crank the engine -- sometimes. Batteries can have varying states of charge due to temperature, recharging time and other factors. Engine's can require more or less amperage to crank over due to cold engine, hot engine, cold ambient temperatures and so forth.
