Hello can you please help me with this problem My pick up runs good for a couple miles and then the drive starts flashing and the speed decrease at only 34 mph and the check engine light is on I did change the thermostat and the temperature sensor & doesn’t fix the problem Also have this codes P0128-00—-P0700-0—-P16E9-00 thank you in advance have a great evening 2016 GMC Sierra 1500 SLT V8 - 5.3L 5328cc 325ci GAS DI vin C L83 - 2 valve OHV Automatic Transmission 6 speeds
What makes this problem better or worse?
Is worse when the engine is hot

The P16E9-00 is the part I am not certain of; this pertains to a possible engine control module related concern -- but I would not rush to judgment there until resolving the areas you have active concerns with. P0128 is an engine coolant temperature below thermostat regulated temperature code. As a result, yes, typically replacement of the thermostat or coolant temperature sensor will resolve this concern. I would be looking at all the related wiring to see if there is any damage, as you state you have replaced these components already. The Drive light flashing and the P0700 Code seems to indicate a transmission concern. This will require more hands on troubleshooting using a diagnostic tool and following the workshop manual.
