Hello, if the engine will not crank, there are several possible causes: The engine's battery could be failed or too low in charge to crank the engine. The cables to the battery could be corroded interrupting full needed cranking amperage. The starter motor could be drawing excessive amps preventing the engine from cranking over. The engine itself could have an internal concern causing it to be binding or seized. The anti-theft key may not be properly programmed to the vehicle. The shift lever may not be securely in Park or Neutral positions (automatic) or could not be reading to be in those positions by the processor, preventing starter motor engagement. The clutch position sensor (manual transmission) may not be triggering, preventing the starter motor from engaging.
