What is your question?
It started a few months ago where my tuck would not get any power. But if I moved the positive wire up and down going to the starter everything would work again. Now that won’t even work. Connection on starter do look dirty but plan on cleaning that next. Any other idea what this might be? We also changed out the mega fuse since we did get power to the cab when we bypassed it but still not working. Battery is fine and clean. Wires are tight on battery.

Hi, this is Bo, an auto expert on RepairPal's Car Genius team! Sounds like you've been wrestling with a stubborn electrical issue on your Sierra 1500. If moving the positive wire to the starter temporarily restored power, it indicates a loose or corroded connection somewhere along that path. Here are a few more things to check: Starter Solenoid: Besides cleaning the connection at the starter, inspect the starter solenoid itself. Over time, these can wear out or accumulate corrosion, causing intermittent power issues. Battery Cables: Double-check both ends of the battery cables – not just at the battery terminals, but also where they connect to the chassis and engine block. Corrosion or loose connections at any of these points can cause voltage drops. Ground Connections: Don't forget to inspect and clean the ground connections as well. A poor ground can cause all sorts of electrical gremlins. Ignition Switch: If all else checks out, consider the possibility of a faulty ignition switch. Sometimes, internal contacts can wear out, leading to intermittent loss of power. Since bypassing the mega fuse gave power to the cab, focus on that circuit and its related components. Electrical issues can be tricky, but with careful inspection and cleaning, you might just track down the culprit.
