Engine, flex plate and torque converter won't turn with a new starter

1994 GMC Sierra 1500, 6 cylinder vortec just stalled, starter gear would only sputter, got new starter, engages but won't turn plate. Pulled drive shaft and plugs, nothing turns; engine, plate and converter. How do I tell what is needs to be replaced?
